has anyone found a dog food that has REALLY helped dogs with chronic yeast infections? I don't mean you have fed this food and you don't have the issue, I mean watched a dog actually improve from the diet change. Thanks! e
You can give fluconazole, 200 mg. Give 100 mg in the morning and 100 mg in the evening for 2 weeks. (It is generic for Diflucan.) It is not expensive. Your vet should know the appropriate dosage for your dog. I used it for Oscar when he was about 9. He had a bad yeast infection in his nose wrinkle that nothing seemed to fix for good and this did work. Dara

well I dont know about food, but my 11 year old rottie used to get them all the time and I could never get to the bottom of it.....One of the bullies had an ear infection once and the vet gave me surolan, cleared it right up! I decided to try on the yeasty rotties ears, and it cleared them up too!! now I use it every third or fourth ear cleaning, and have NEVER had a reocurance.
it also took a 6 inch hot spot, (on a very hormonal, pregnant females head) down to 3 inches in diameter in aprox 6 hours!!! great stuff, it is an antifungal.

samson my 4 year old pet had alot fo skin problems and yeast. I tried every food on the market to help his skin...finally he did well with a food that contained no grains to help rid of his yeast problems.. the two that we liked with results were Innova Evo and Pinnacle Trout-this has alot fo oatmeal that seems to help with all his wrinkles and yeasty problems. Best of luck..its a battle!

We feed Wellness Fish and Potato. Several of our rescue dogs come in with chronic yeast/ear infections. Clears up pretty quick and does not re-occur.

I am feeding Livvy Timberwolf and she had bad yeast in her ears
last vet exam she had none. I have used this now for about 3 mo. . It took about 1 - 2 mo. of feeding it before she was yeast free.
