....wondering if anyone has any experience with hauling their dogs in a 5th wheel type toy hauler while driving? (crated of course)
I just found out it is not illegal, and with a camera mounted so we can watch from the truck, wondering if anyone does this now, or has experience or advise with it.
thanks!! xo

THANK YOU BETH!!
Thank you very much for the yahoo info. My husband and I have been tossing around the idea of getting an RV/toy hauler/sprinter/renegade etc for teh last year and its so hard to make a decision even based on talking to people at the shows. Thanks again!!
Laura

just like a trailer and they come off the foundation and are all over the road.
You dont know what the temperature is if the A/C turn off.
I want to see my dogs and watch over them, i dont even like htem in the back of a van behind a seat. I put the seat down so i can hear and see them

awesome!! thank you so much... that is great! I am joining the group right now.
There is a Yahoo group
for RV people who also have dogs and do dog shows. It's the RVK9 group on Yahoo. A lot of experience there and a lot of people ask questions about fifth wheels, motorhomes, travel trailers, etc. before they buy. I would recommend joining and asking your questions there. You will got a lot of good responses from people with experience. Hope to see you there!
The group was a huge help for us last year when we were shopping for a diesel pusher. We went into our serious search well armed for what we needed to be looking for, what were absolute must haves, etc. thanks to the group members.

Erica,
I pull a toy hauler trailer with my full size van. I have two sets of crates so that when I'm driving, the dogs are in the van and when we get to a destination, I can move them to their "home away from home" in the dog room/garage area of the toy hauler. I love my set up because I have enough room to groom in the back also. However, I do want to upgrade in hopefully the near enough future.
I personally would have difficulty hauling the dogs where I can't see them.
