As soon as we got her home and inside, I noticed her eye was bleeding. It was that fast! A span of 45 min! We immediately got her back to the vet and she had surgery that evening. Glad she's doing well, but how scary that must have been! Did you notice any swelling of the eyelid or any other symptoms before it ruptured? I'm hoping we caught it before it got that bad. But now I'm going to be constantly looking in her eye and worrying!

Had an ulcer about a year ago. Hers was caused from her rooting around in the sand and getting it in her eye, causing a scratch.[IMG][/IMG] I took her to the vet right away when her eye started swelling. The vet gave us the same meds as ya'll. When we came home I noticed that her eye started bleeding so we headed back to the vet. Turns out her eyeball ruptured and she had to have surgery to fix it. She is doing well now. She is not able to see out of that eye but she adapted very quickly. You would not think that something as simple as playing in the sand could potentially cause her to lose her sight in one eye. Abbey is a very sweet girl. She loves her pug brother Max, and her new bully brother ,Maverick very much.
