Yellow Jacket Sting

This morning my 4 yo Bullie was stung by a yellow jacket, right by his eye,it swelled up to the size of about a large grape. I called the vet and she said give 2 Benedryl and in 4 to 5 hrs if there is still swelling give two more. What a scarey experience, we didnt know the nest was there and as we were walking by Austin stuck his face right in it. I guess we were lucky it was a few stings,it could have been worse. Anything else I could be doing besides the Benedryl.

Re: Should improve by tomorrow...

No, it doesnt seem to hurt, but as of this morning the swelling has gone down some,I would imagine by the end of today it should be gone, thank goodness

Thanks so much

Ice

Ice will ease the swelling and pain. That, along with the benedryl should ease things up considerably.
