wrinkle sores...

Maybull has seemed to have developed a nasty wrinkle sore and David an I are at disagreement about which treatment to use. He's using a neosporin ointment right now, but I remember somone saying something about using peroxid (and maybe something else). Could someone please give me directions on how to deal with this problem, including how to administer the Goldbond powder.

Burt's Bees

Our vet wanted to remover our dog's facial wrinkles because they were so irritated. Someone - I think at this site - recommended using Burt's Bees diaper ointment. It really helped tremendously. No surgery! CVS is carrying it now.

We also switched to Wellness brand dog food - fish and sweet potato. That has helped her skin problems, too.

try an ear wash cleanser

like Epi Otic or Nolvasan. They have ingredient to stop yeast and bacteria and clear up skin irritations quickly. Then top off with Animax.

Be careful with powder. If she's sore and tender, powder may cake up and you may have to clean harder to remove it.

Re: Also...

Use 1/2 peroxide 1/2 water clean and dry well. Then use desetin diaper rash ointment or any diaper rash oint with zinc oxide

Also...

When do we put the Goldbond powder in the wrinkle?

peroxide?

Do you use pure peroxide or a solution?

Re: wrinkle sores...

I clean all my bullies nose wrinkles w/peroxide, then if they are red or sore, I use the neosporine and rub it in real good.

Works for us!
