wierd nose
Submitted by purrmeow2 on April 20, 2010 - 11:59pmMy bulldog's nose is wierd.. half of it looks dry, light grey and looks like it is decaying or flaking off, no smell. .. the other half is normal.. he seems fine otherwise.. he is on natural balance Venison and sweet potatoe..with kal can mixed in.. is there something over the counter I can give him for his nose? has anyone else experienced this?

Oh my gosh! I seriously just posted about this a few days ago! The tips were so helpful! I use vasoline on my little guy's nose...only 3 days after using all of the rough dry flaky skin was gone...he likes to try to lick it all off. Vasoline also helps if the pads of your dog's feet are rough!

you can also use vitamin E....
just get vitamin E from the vitamin store and puncture the capsule and put the oil on the nose....

Vitamin E. My daughter's bullie has a dry nose and she buys Vitamin E capsules and pricks the capsule with a pin and rubs the oil on Chloe's nose. Chloe licks some of the oil off but there is enough left on her nose to lubricate it. The Vitamin E that she licks off helps with her nose from the inside out. Chloe gets two Vitamin E capsules throughout each day. You could also give your bullie a couple of Fish Oil capsules a day...really helps with dry skin...feet...noses.

just dry skin. I use Bag Balm. you can get it at any pharmacy. it comes in a metal canister. Works great
