She as always as little outbreaks on her tummy since she was a puppy. She started swiming in our salt water pool about 2 weeks ago. I rinse her off really good when she gets out but then she lays in the grass. I bet that is what's causing this.

I had an allergic dog and dealt with skin issues for his entire life. This looks like what he would get, possibly from a staph infection, yeast, not mange. He would get small welts that would scab over and then the hair would fall out and leave small bald patches. The patches look like this picture. He also had mange as a puppy and it did not look like this. I would take him to the vet as he most likely needs a course of antibiotics. They can do a skin scraping of this and tell you what it is and treat it accordingly.

very red surface (yes), wet or sticky surface (?), comes on quickly (?) and usually around the face or neck (yes). It often spreads rapidly (?) and is tender/sore to probing (?). You can see that I don't have answers for several "unknowns" re your dog's outbreak but the signs I've listed are those I have always found with hot spots on my own animals. HTH

When..
When Tessie had mange, it was not that red under the hairloss. I am thinking that might be something other than Mange.
