you can give two 25 mg tablets if he's over 50 pounds. Give that dose every 8 hours and watch his breathing, if it get labored, he should go to an emergency vet. The benedryl should do the trick hopefully.

For those of you who vaccinate your pups yourself, epinephrine should be at hand and you should know dosage for weight. It is also good to have on hand if there is a bee sting emergency. It may save the life of your pup if there is an immediate reaction.

I mean, obviously "from your vet" is a standard answer for everything.
I was curious more if it really is stocked by vets for sale, as a canine epi-pen? Or if it's something they give you a 'script for to be filled at a drugstore as a human epi-pen? Or if it's available from a mail order catalog?

That's interesting... a friend of mine is in vet tech school and came home the other day all excited to share that a lot of drugs can be purchased with a prescription from the vet at Walmart and whatnot. I guess it stands to reason an epi-pen would be similar...

Where does one obtain epinephrine for dogs?
I have an epi-pen myself for food allergies... I've always wondered where one would get something like this to have on hand for our furry friends.

Interesting. I'll have to ask my vet some time.
