I just took a picture to give you an idea of what we see. Yesterday i noticed that she was leaking a light pink look from her vulva, and now it is a dark brownish/red colour today.
The odd thing is, is that she shows NO signs of an infection. She has no trouble going to the bathroom, no forcing to pee, she does big pees (yellow) and she is eating fine, happy go lucky and her temp. is normal. no change.
**Is it possible for a female with a uti to NOT show any signs at all?**
Sometimes she wont bleed and then all of a sudden she gets up to walk (after sleeping) and then it starts to drip out. And it's not a bright red, but well like exactly on the photo.
To me, it seems like a heat, and if it would be, she would be early.
She doesn't have any symptoms of a uti...which is odd in my expierence with the past uti's i've expiereced with previous dogs.

has her heat cycle been like this?
it doesn't seam like a uti, but 12 years ago, my pekingnese was going thru her heat cycle and it was heavy not her normal cycle. We took her to the vet 2nd day, and said she had some kind of infection and had to have a hysterectomy and had we brought her in later, the infectin would go into her bloodstream or something and she would die. I was only 16 at the time and seeing all the blood really scared me. After the hysterectomy she was her normal self until 6months later, cancer of the lymphnodes took her away from me. She was the sweetest dog, she doesn't know how to bark even if she sees a cat and her teeth were scattered all over the place with big gaps separating each tooth that grew halfway, she was only 7.
If it worries you, take her to the vet and they can test it, at least it will give you peace of mind.

Exactly what
it looks like when My Yorkie is in heat. Abby has not had her first heat yet she is 7 mths old and our Yorkie was almost a year old if I remember correctly but I am sure like Human's some are early and some are late.

Hope this helps
