Tresaderm for ear infection?

Dozer recently got his first ear infection, classic red/hot ear canal, horrible smell, constant scratching and shaking of his head,ect..So we went to the vet and they gave me some Tresaderm ear drops which we have use din the past for a Hemocytoma that Dozer had on his leg in 2009. I just wondered if any fellow Bulldoggers have used this for ear infections and did you have positive results? We go back for a followup and ear check next week.

Yes, we did

We had to use 7 drops massage it around and then clean and remove as much of the liquid as possible.

It worked very slowly.  We also had good results with using vinegar diluted with water.  I can't remember the mixture right now but I know the were threads on the board about it.  I think it worked better than the drops.  Same process used to clean the ear.

tresaderm

ue it all the time for ear infections.  It has steroid in it so it takes the inflammation down.  I keep it in the fridge so it's cool too.

Thanks, it's been working great and Dozer's ear is much better.

We put it in the fridge also and it seems to soothe the inflamamtion and it smells better too. He's going in for a 2 week follow up next week but i think we've got this thing licked.
