Thanks for Answers About Palate Surgery

Roxy has had it done. They were able to get her in today for her other surgery & they did the palate too. They said they took off about 1.5 cm. That's quite a bit. It will be interesting to see if she does better in the heat this summer. The gal who called me said she should feel better as she is coming out of the anesthesia.

Good to hear!

But, remember - because of the way they're built, bullies are susceptible to heat prostration. Having the palate resected will make it easier to breath and pant, but I still closely monitor when the temp is above 70 or if there's high humidity. You'll really notice a difference with exercise tolerance and when she sleeps! happy.gif
