Need some insite.. My boy Mack, has had problems since this past winter with is right paw,in between 2 of his toes. It gets very swollen and inflamed. We have been back to the vet a few times. Both times they gave him Temeril-P. with this last visit, it was infected too. The vet game him Temeril-P again, with an antibiotic Cephalexin 500mg. With this his paw really started to heal and look great. Well now it's starting to get swollen and red again. and the non stop licking is driving me insane.
Can anyone give me an idea as to what this might be?
Thanks
Swelling between toes
Hi! My lil guy had this same problem and the vet told me it was due to an ingrown hair. He suggested soaking the paw in epsom salts for about 5 mins daily. Although, it more then likely will be a reaccuring issue.

Thanks everyone! I will try all the suggestions. but first I need to give my big guy a bath. We played hard today and he's dirty.

Swelling in between toes on top of paw
Thanks so much,I was thinking that allergies might be the cause but I was not sure. He just started this problem this past winter, so I will have to watch it. He has been on the same food for years now, maybe I have to look in to switching it. He is eating Iams Naturals now,
thanks for the advise

We Did Epsom Salt
Otto had this recently. We took the advice of folks on this wonderful board and soaked his paw in luke warm water with epsom salt for 10 minutes a day. It cleared right up!
I love that we novice bulldoggers have this wonderful resource in Bulldogsworld!

It does sound like an IDC...
we use Preparation H on them, three times a day, they usually go away in two of three days.

Is it on top of his foot between his toes?
It sounds like an IDC. In my experience, they are usually allergy related. Morgan gets them when her allergies are out of control. I had to switch foods because she kept getting them.
