Strange looking urine

Sasha is now 17 weeks old and she seems to be doing fine. In the last few days she seems to be producing some sort of mucus or secretion that seems to come from her genitals whenever she pees. I am guessing is one of those female adolescence issues. Correct me if I am wrong.

off to the vet

We just went thru this a couple of months ago. Took a sample and the vet said there were white cells in it and we put her on an antibiotic. Fixed it right up.

No symtoms for UTI

Unless it gets really bad. Urinating a lot will almost always happen. I would collect a sample and have them check it before it gets out of hand and is harder to treat. I just went through this with my dog. She was having accidents in the house which she never did before.
Good Luck

Collect sample and have your vet analyze it.

Could be a UTI or something you need to get treated.

Not necessarily

though they can get quite painful. Others who deal with this will chime in.

How long till appt? I would try not to wait too too long. You don't even need to bring her in with the speciman.

Re: White blood cells?

we R still working on hous training her so accidents R patrt of our daily routine. She has an upcoming vetr visit and will probably request a urine analyisis then. Wouldn't she have additional symptoms if this was a UTI?

White blood cells?

Urinary tract infection? If she was mine I'd collect a sample and bring to vet. Any accidents in the house lately?

ok when she urinates

do you notice a white, cloudy looking, mucusy look in the urine?
I went through this with a litter of pups i helped raise for weeks~! Had urine screens done- found nothing! No UTI. But through research and other Bulldoggers discovered it was an absorbtion issue- certain proteins not being digested properly etc..even my vet disagreed. once food was changed, problem was solved within 2 weeks. And some just grow out if it, according to my vet.

may try getting a urine sample to take in regardless to rule out anything and a bloodpanel to see what levels are.
