Hello, Hope all are well. Mason's staph infection is doing well with the meds and is almost gone. We got to the vet Saturday. I have since changed his food to Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream and he is eating 3 to 3 and a half cups a day. Gas is fine with the old stinker here and there but nothing that is over bearing and smelling real awful. Shedding has died down so I am thinking it was just his winter coat but might be the food too a little, hard to say. I stopped blending the old food with the new and he seems to be doing fine. He loves this stuff...

My question however, is his stool is now very dark and OMG does it smell. The consistency I notice he poops less on this food and now only poops twice a day, sometimes three times compared to 4 sometimes 5 times on the old food. His eyes water less on this stuff too. All around I am seeing good things but the smell of his poop is enough to make me vomit. I am wondering if it is just because he has been on meds or because he is now eating grain free and it'll change once everything is out of his system?? Including the meds?

Have others on this food found the dogs have stinky poop and darker in colour? Before the food change it was normal smell (yucky cause it's poop but not bad enough that you almost toss your cookies) and a nice light brown colour...
