I'm hoping to get some advice on the eating habits of my bully, Beasley. He is 10 months old and is normally very eager to eat his food. We feed him Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Venison 2x a day, 1.5 cups each time. In the morning, he scarfs it down. But, sometimes, like tonight for instance...he just isn't interested in eating his dinner? He seems fine, I'm just worried this could be something else or if this is a typical bully trait? His tummy has only slight rumblings, but nothing major. So, I don't think he is in need of Pepcid. It's only been a couple of times when he doesn't eat his dinner...never in a row, but every few weeks or so.
But, by morning...he is ready to eat again. Does any have any experience with this as well? I'm a paranoid Mom. I always worry when he doesn't do something that he "normally" does. Thanks for your help!
my
6 month old male is not a big eater either. Sometimes he scarfs breakfast other times it's dinner. Some mornings he won't even look at his food bowl. I was worried at first as well but others on here said their dogs sometimes only eat once a day.

Re: It's not just a bully thing--it's a dog thing.
Thank goodness! My husband and I very starting to panic as to what the issue could be. Thank you SO much for your help, it definitely puts me at ease now.

It's not just a bully thing--it's a dog thing.
Don't worry too much. If he's not losing weight and acts like he feels fine, then an occasional skipped meal here and there is okay. If a dog doesn't eat three days in a row, then a vet visit is on order.
