My dogs, always started throwing up bile, they wouldn't eat, they became anorexic, this wasn't an overnight process. I have lost 3 of my dogs to kidney failure, it's a terrible disease, and one that is truly draining. You do everything to try and hrlp them, but it moves quickly and it's not pretty. I know your heart is broken, but may I ask what the symptoms were for the nine month old. That's extremely young for that. But every breed has it's own issues, and if you love dog, you just do better research in your quest for a puppy and get a good breeder.

I am so sorry. It is somehow so much more tragic when we lose a young one. These wonderful bulldogs can be such heartbreakers.

It is like someone ripped your heart out, I know. I am very sorry. I lost my bulldog 2 1/2 years ago and it still seems like yesterday. Similar situation, brought him in because I thought he was a little sick, ended up it was cancer. For you to lose two so close together is heartbreaking. I am so so sorry.

A dear friend of mine lost her 2yr old bully bitch this month due to displastic kidneys, a birth defect that they were aware of and nursed as much as possible. Often these defects don't show until the dog is in trouble, and there is no repair, only a special diet to try to nurse them along.

When you have time we'd love to read your tribute to the bully you lost. And most of us find comfort in feeling their spirit does indeed go to the Rainbow Bridge, to remain together with others of their kind, until their loved humans join them.
