We had Cheeto on a prescription soft food due to a severe case of gastritis and some large objects in his stomach. Can anyone reccomend a soft food that we can switch him to? (per the Vet, we shouldn't give him hard food for a while.)

this is much easier for the stomach to digest and you can put it thru a blender so its nice and soft...chicken, beef would be good i would also get him on some yogurt to help with the good bacteria he needs to replace (especially if he was on antibotics) some brown rice would help him...but i would really think about raw and if your not comfortable just put it under the broiler for a min or two....trying to digest grains would not be helpful for his tummy..... hope this helps a little...

80% meat 10% organs and 10% bone you feed 3 to 5 % of his body so at 55 he would eat 1.5 lbs of meat a day..... most people start off with chicken.....i have a commerical blender and grind the meat and bones.... you can adjust the amt fed by how he gains and losses.....wilson weighs 54 lbs and he does great on 1.5 lbs to 1 lb a day....
