Help!!! Ellie Mae and Max want to go at each other all the time. I have never had puppies this age. They are 10 weeks and everytime they are out at the same time they want to chew and bite and growl at each other. Im not kidding, there isnt a single minute they are not fighting - playing (i cant tell the difference) My concern is that Max is so much smaller than she is and it looks like she is hurting him but he goes right back for more. I want so badly to have them both out of their pin at the same time. Right now it is one at a time. I hate to keep them separated all the time. Any advice for me(maybe this is just puppy behavior and I am misreading them) or for them if they are over aggressive.
Thanks in advance
here is the video
The sound is not that good because my Fiance had the TV on

I have two also a few months apart...
They wrestle almost 90% of the time. They drive me CRAZY! I enjoy watching them for the most part. But they do keep me on my toes. I haven't had it escalate into anything more than wrestling. They are 5 months and 8 months.

I also have Johnny and June here who are siblings (almost 7 weeks)... They fight and wrestle alot also. I think it is just nature!

Rough play vs. aggression
Some pups play rough, just watch to be sure it doesnt escalate to aggression. There's no way for any of us to know what is really going on, we can't see them. But, if they appear to be getting too rough, separate them for a few minutes. You should also be playing with them, together and separately.
Good luck

My Mack and Bella
are borther and sister too. They ALWAYS play fight with each other. They sound like they are killing one another. I don't let it go too far, so that one or the other gets hurt. The good thing is that Spike, who is 16 months old always gets in the middle when it gets out of hand. But they have to learn how to ineract, just don't let htem get too mouthy.

Hmmmm
I guess if they dont draw blood then I should relax....its just a protective nature I recon. Never a dull moment with bullies....thats for sure! I'll let them go and see what happens.

We have two girlies and...
they really go at it but only if there is a ball or toy that they both want. Chloe is the older and more assertive bullie...Punkie B actually weighs a little more than Chloe but it scares me when they are going at each other like that. Chloe is my daughter's bullie and when they start fighting over toys, balls, etc., I make my daughter take Chloe home.
What's funny is that when my daughter goes out and leaves Chloe...when I walk next door to check on Chloe, she always wants to come "visit" and of course, I give in. Chloe wants to spend the night...you would think that Punkie would not want Chloe in "our" bed...but it's fine and both of them sleep with me.
I wonder if Chloe is like a bad kid who acts up when the parents are around but when the kid is left alone with someone, they are better behaved??

Bossy was an agressive little squirt
biting, growling, wrestling...but that was with us, not other dogs...sounds to me like puppy behavior...if one keeps going back for more, i would think they think it's fun....but, you can never be too careful

Hey Barb
Hello!

If you would like to email me, I can send you a video of my puppies playing - it sounds more dramatic than it is, lol!
As an example, my Fiance took my older dog with him to PA in Jan. - I just sent Tessie to be with them a couple weeks ago. When she first got there, Scruffy let her know her place in the house, it took about 24-36 hours and now they are the best of buds again. It was nothing serious, it was just him letting her know that she cannot come and take his treats when she feels like it and things of that nature.
With my two, I have had good luck with allowing them to "settle the tiffs" but they have never escalated to something more serious. If they are fighting over a toy, I will just remove it from the situation. They are fine with 99% of things, the only thing they can't learn to share are raw bones (like marrow bones) - Tessie is a brat and she takes Scruffys and keeps it next to hers and then growls at him when he comes near and then he will whine until we help him. We usually just separate them when they have special treats like that.
I hope this helps. I would bet to say yours are just playing
P.S. Mine are not siblings but are just a couple months apart.
