reverse sneeze?

I think I have heard it called that. Is there anything you can do for them when it sounds like they are having an asthma attack? This happened to Chester late last night and again just a little while ago, it didn't last long. I stroked him under his neck until he calmed down. Anything else I can do? What causes this? Thanks!
