Rash
Submitted by kmt0728 on April 21, 2010 - 12:07amOur 10 week old puppy developed a rash on his belly and a little on his chest on friday. I have been bathing him in Gerber baby shampoo with oatmeal. We have had him for a week and he has been doing fine. I just dont know what i can do for him to get the rash to go away or should i take him to the vet tomorrow ? Thank you

Rinse him thoroughly with just water
and stop bathing him. Over bathing is irritating to their skin.

I would also suggest a little light dusting with
a baking-soda type baby powder...just to relieve any itch. Be careful not to get it into his eyes or nose...just use on his belly...until the rash is gone.
