Question about the Adiquan shot for ACL
Submitted by jeanellen on April 21, 2010 - 12:01amis this a one time shot when needed or a series of shots? Also, is the Chondro-Flex II a shot or medication?

Friday goes once a month now for her Adequin shot
I cannot remember when she first started getting them but I think it was once a week for a month and then once a month.

Adiquan is a shot
you start with 1 shot every 3 days for 3 weeks then you go to 1 shot a week (cant remember how long) and then once a month. It was very very helpful for Breve'

Morgan takes Adequan for hip dysplasia
When she first started the shots, I believe she took one a week for a month. Now she gets one shot a month. She has been taking them for about 2 years. But I don't know what the protocol would be for an ACL injury. Sorry!

I think Adequan is usually given for OA. My bully tore both of her ACL, which is really a cranial cruciate ligament in a dog, and required surgery.
