My bully is having more and more accidents. She is a year old next month and whenever we leave her alone for as little as 2 minutes she has and accident, sometimes poop sometimes pee. Sometimes we don't even leave, today for example, my wife went upstairs to take a shower, I was still downstairs. My wife shut the bedroom door and locked the dog out, being outside the room for 5 minutes caused the dog to pee on the floor right outside the door. I had taken her out 15 minutes before and she went pee then. It seems if any of us enter a room and don't allow her to follow, she'll leave a gross little present outside the door when we get out. Please help.
BTW.. during the week when we are gone to work it is really bad, she stomach gets upset and she usually has really running poo, on the weekends when we get home her stomach goes back to normal and her poo hardens.
PLEASE HELP!
Re: I have to agree..
Mine will be 1 year in two weeks, she actual handled things okay at first, but when she was about 5 months she had to spend the night at the ER and it has been downhill since then.

I agree--
--unless there is something physical going on. I think, like with humans, it's always good to rule out a physical problem with one's vet. But if it isn't that, then it's a behavioral thing. I once heard a vet say to a couple that peeing or pooping in the house was a way for the dog to assert control when he or she was anxious. That made a lot of sense to me! So consulting with a dog trainer or behaviorist or your vet may help. Also, one-year-old is still young, especially for bulldogs. Our older dog was pretty much trained by one year, but our younger dog was not and I was in despair! But by two, she was much better and now at three she's pretty much trained. (Although she has been having stomach problems lately and so she has lots of episodes of peeing and pooping in the wrong place again, but I think that's understandable because her schedule is totally thrown off.)

I think...
I think she needs a friend. It sounds like she has a bit of seperation anxiety. I do not know much about this subject because I've always had two dogs.
I hope someone can help you.
Also, you might want to take into consideration her conditions before he came to live with you. I know my bully was crated for very long periods of time while still at her breeders (until she was 4 months) and she still urinates in her crate sometimes. I have a video of her one day when I was gone in her xpen with her crate in there and she got up and went into her crate to pee. It truly is a learned behavior. Tessie will be one on May 3rd and she has gotten A LOT better but she still tinkles in there sometimes. It has taken the past 7.5 months for her to feel comfortable in her crate because of how she was treated before. She will now go in there to sleep and stuff where as before she wouldn't go near it while we were home.

These are no accidents
It is a behavior thing--as she knows to go outside and goes on command. I am not a trainer--and I think it will take a trainer to help undo this. However meanwhile while she is in the house maybe if you put panties on her (like you would use if she were in heat) that might discourage her to go.

Re: potty issue
just wanted to add a couple of things. She is really good when I take her outside, I can even get her to pee on comand, and I still praise and treat her whenever we go out and she goes.
Also we have tried leaving her in a crate, she is fine (but cries) if we are in the same room, the second we leave and she can't see us she will go, poop or pee, it doesn't matter.
