Just had my 10 month old spay because of pyo- she has done great! Do you keep them crated for a week? She is very active and wanting to run around and play!

Restricted activity for 3 to 5 days. Meaning leash walks, rather than running around in the yard, and no playing with other dogs. No running up & down stairs, or jumping up & down on furniture. Too much activity can cause swelling at the incision site.
Instead of keeping her in a crate, can you gate her in a room where there's no furniture to jump on? Can you do longer leash walks so she can work off some energy safely?
Crate her for short periods if you need to--three to 5 days isn't a long time.

for two days. She is just 6 months old, After the second day, she was running around, BUT I ended up at the vet's office becuase her incision site, was very red and swollen. He said too mush runnin around, I advise crate rest and leash walks for a week, even though they want to run around. They put her on antibiotics, and she is much, much better.
