Piper ripped her toenail off right at the tip where it's on the toe

She can't feel her legs very well, and I just noticed it. I am taking her to the vet, but what kind of treatment is this, will they just take the nail off? It's hanging on on one side only, it's sideways. I am going to have to wrap her feet up from now on since she can't really feel them and can injure them easily.

That's ridiculous!  Mine didn't even charge me when Dallas had his torn almost all the way off.  He just wrapped it and sent him home.  They see us coming....bulldogs + loving owners= $$$$$$$$$

Poor girl. At least she can't really feel much of it. Wow, poor little thing:-(

I told those vets where to put $500, I went to y regular vet

And they just pulled the rest of the nail off and bandaged it up, got a nail trim, total $70.

My vet was busy that is why we went to the local vet, but when they told me that price I called my vet freaking out, they said to come in and wait. She can't feel her feet, so it was quick and easy.

Just to freeze it, antibiotics, cut the nail off and cautorize it. I told them just to freeze it, I didn't want her sedated, can you believe that? I almost passed out, these vets make a killing.
