PH Question

Went to vet to get her urine results and Dr. B said the only thing he noticed was that her PH was high and that I needed to have Lola in a higher protein diet.I feed her lamb and rice kibble from Costco.Any suggestions or has anyone gone through this?

Age doesn't matter....

Puppy food is higher in protein.

Re: Just switch to the Kirkland puppy food...

Lola is 5yrs old.

Lola is 5yrs old.

Sadie is doing really good with this food. Her tear

stains are gone and she is not chewing on her feet anymore. She just turned 9 and her labs were the best they have ever been. You have alot of options, I would just go with a higher protein food then you are feeding.

Just switch to the Kirkland puppy food...

It should be higher in protein.

OR stay with the adult food and add cooked meat.

I buy it from a store here in Murrieta. You can check

Taste of the Wild website. www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com I think you would probably be Ok with anyfood with a higher protein than you were feeding. Sadie used to be on Solid Gold Holistic which was a low protein food and she has allergies. I went with taste of the wild because it is grain free.

Sadie had the exact same problem. Dr. Butchko

told me I could add boiled chicken to her food which I did for 3 months. I had her labs done again PH went to normal range. Since we travel alot boiling chicken all of the time was a pain, so I switched her food to TOTW bison & venison. Labs as of last month are still good.
