Hello all,
Attached are pics of Otto's paw, which became swollen (and possibly a growth on there?) this afternoon. He has been lethargic for a few days, and has had some vomiting.
He doesn't appear to be in pain, and he still accepts and eats treats. He walks regularly (without a noticeable limp).
We plan on taking him to the vet tomorrow - any ideas on what may cause this?
Thank you,
Dean&Tracy

Looks very much like IDC...
you can do a search on IDC's at the top of this page. Many have had success with soaking in either a diluted bleach solution or Epsom salts solution, and then treating with some topical medication...either Panalog, Neosporin with anti-itch, Prep H, or simply wetting well with cotton balls soaked in cider vinegar. It won't go away overnight with these treatments but you should see improvement in just a few days. If your vet feels this needs oral antibiotics he/she will Rx one course of them, but you still may want to do some topical treatment to hurry the healing along.

It could be an interdigital cyst...
some people soak in epsom salts, I always put Preparation H on it three times a day and they go away in a few days. Oreo had one that was very swollen a few years ago and the Prep H cured it in two days.
