yeast ears

if you know for sure it is a yeast infection.. one of the very best home remedies (you can find this on this web site too) I have used it for over 20 years with my bullies and the first time with my cocker spainel. works great!

i bottle of Isporprol Alchol 91%
16 drops of gentin volet (natural anitbotic)
4 tablespoons of boric acid

mix together shake before every use(I use a syringe) to draw it up..take dog outside(as the gentin is purple and it will stain) pour in dogs ears.. rub wipe out with cotton balls do it again this time let dog shake(you might not be able to let him shake because of his eye) and clean out remaining with a cotton ball. Since he has the eye issue right now I think I would use a q-tip and just massage his ear with this.. I know the alchol keeps the ear dry, the gentin heals it naturally and the boric acid eats the yeast. This stuff works great for the tail too! good luck

Re: yeast ears

You can buy a product called K-9 Liquid Health which is the solution Linda described but already made in a bottle. In addition to yogurt you should be giving him some probiotics such as acidolpholis. There is another product my vet prescribed called Geneflora for Pets which you can also purchase online.Happy your baby is doing better!

yeasty ears

I have the K-9 healthy ears too. I love that one when I am giving them a bath cause of the tip at the end of the bottle. It also has collide silver in it which I like and it doesn't seem to stain as much as the ohter...wonder if the silver makes it not stain... I think it is priced good too.. only thing is the homemade remedy will last a lot longer.....espically if you have a lot of dogs..
