need some advice

i adopted a rescue bully who is the light of my life. she is getting over her mange, and doing quite well. i feed her NB fish and sweet potato with a little fresh chicken stock and 1/2 tbls of chicken fat. i have been using Extra Virgin Olive Oil to keep her nose from drying out which seems to not last very long. any suggestions.........?

Thanks Annie, I will get some, that sounds good,

Pugsley's nose isn't drying out yet, but the top gets a little flaky sometimes. I want to try to prevent the dry and cracking.

We use bag balm too, and we are in Toronto too..lol

I got my big can at a feed store when we were driving through the country, it's alot cheaper, the farmers use it on their cows utters. But in the city like someone above said, you can get it at Global pet foods, I think it's like $10 or $12 a can, but the can lasts a long time.

Vitamin E capsules....

Laurette (Executive Director of Long Island Bulldog Rescue) recommends vitamin E. Just get the capsules and poke a hole in the capsule and put it on their nose.

vaseline

i was concerned that vaseline is a pettroleum product, and wasn't sure if bag balm had a petroleum base as well. i believe josie to be 2 years old, rescued puppy mill mom. i feed her chicken stock for additional protein and flavor and the little bit of fat is needed in anyones diet. she had such horrible mange when she was rescued and so sickly they thought she may be euthanized, but she has a big heart and is such a sweety that she is really pulling thru. so i try to keep her eating habits structured and well balanced so her recovery is not delayed. she now romps and plays and loves life.

Maybe you have Aquaphor up there?

If not, a quick internet search should find you the equivalent of one of those two items?
