Need opinions fast
Submitted by LDeLeo on April 21, 2010 - 12:11amLoly us vomiting daily, every morning, white foam. I give her a treat before bedtime, but she is breathing really hard all the time,l tires quickly, and is weezing. I am afraid that she may have aspiriated some of the vomit, although I am with her each time, I am not sure. We have an appointment for next Wednesday with the specialist, but I am afraid to wait as I am going out of town on Friday through Tuesday. What do I do?

i would not wait.....
i just lost my 9 yo....she was not vominting but was having what i called asthma attacks and it turned out to be laryngeal paralysis......

It does sound as if it's her palate but she could have also aspirated. I will keep her in my prayers.

Thanks I am going to the vets (reg) today
and moved he evaluation appointment until tomorrow at 9 am, they will do the surgery then if they feel its what's needed

IMO you need to take her to the vet now!
I would take her to your Reg vet This morning to have her checked out you dont want her to get pnuemonia.

even thou i was only blessed with her for a year and its been a week i still start crying....she was a real ticket for a old lady....

was a rescue....it appeared she had an embitted collar....she also had an elongated soft pallate...all this contributed to her problem.....and her death...
at first it sounded like a asthma attack...it would only last a few mintues but it got worse.... when i took her to the vet she got in a panic car rides were not her favorite thing....she could not breath...we were able to sedate her...but two weeks latter she had another severe attack and the vet felt that they would now happen more often and i could not bear the tought of her being alone and having one....so i opted to have her peacefully put to sleep....
their is nothing to be done about this condition...the surgery has a very high death rate...but for everyone this problem is related to soft pallate problems.....
