NEBULIZER?????? (SP)
Submitted by Anonymous on April 20, 2010 - 11:58pmWhenever the bullies get sick/kennel cough etc. We are always told to put them in the bathroom and run a steam shower as an alternative to putting them on a nebulizer. Well, I think we need to invest $$ in one of these contraptions. Does anyone know where/how to purchase a nublizer and are they expensive??

Ebay to purchase my Nebulizer. The last one I had was practically brand new and I put in the Raffle basket for last years Nationals.

i have a few, 1 is from a patient who passed away
watch craigs list and ebay and see what you find. Also let your vet know your looking for one just incase you need it.
If you rent one for yourself, most insurances will just pay for it vs renting

the nebulizer runs about $50-75 but the humidifier can be much cheaper, about $20-25. Check your local WalMart or drug store.

I don't know about the cost but...
I think you could go to a medical supply store that sells oxygen and be able to purchase one. My hubby uses a CPAP machine for sleep apnea and we got his machine at the medical supply store.
Maybe since you are a non-profit group they would be easy on you regarding the cost...you could also advertise on Craig's list that you need one...maybe someone has one they would donate. Another thought is eBay...
I have often thought that my bullie needs a CPAP...she snores more and louder than hubby and sometimes stops breathing and wakes up to catch her breath.
