Natural Flea and Tick Product

Could anyone give me a list of natural flea and tick products/remedies? I have a friend that wants to find something safe, effective, and environmentally friendly.
we just had a discussion about this
a little bit ago. There were some great recipes for repellents posted, and places to get essential oils.
