they still happen !!!

i have bruce since april this year and pretty much the whole time he had terrible diarrhea . i went to 2 different vets and the 2nd one actually doagnosed him with a bad case of giardia by the beginning of may ; but even with medication and dewormer it took 3 rounds of treatment to gethim healthy , still ... he diarrhea stayed and would not get better !

the other day i was on a website that lists all kind of diseases and conditions by theire symptoms ! so i read through the whole list of diarrhea causes , until only 2 cases where left since he didnt have any other symptoms like lethargy , no appetite , restlessness or vomiting ;

giardia or food allergies/- intolerance

since he was healthy - according to the vet - i began to do some more research on the food i was feeding him at the time - blue buffalo puppy formula chicken and rice - and on the food i saw a lot of ads for in bully books/magazines and the internet !

i finally bought royal canin bulldog 24 - even though the food is labeled for bullies 12 month and up but 21 - 50 ibs at the same time (bruce is 25 ibs) ( that was on the 9th ) !

since last night (the 11th ) he his diarrhea free !!!!!!! IN ONLY 2 1/2 DAYS !!!!

i call that amazing ! i felt like 2 million pounds where taken off of my shoulders and bruce feels better already as well !


it was worse taking a shot and giving it a try ... i only regret that i didnt feed it to him earlier , but i didnt know that it was allergies / intolerance and that i could feed him adult food !

its all good now though



I do want to give this board big credit and thank all of you , since i made most of the research here and had a blog about the blue buffalo food here , where so many of you gave great advice !
