maverick gave us a scare

This past Friday, our 9 week old puppy was vomiting and had diarrhea. He was very lethargic and was just not himself. Everything he ate would come back up. We were extremely worried so off to the vet we went. They checked him for parvo, and the test was negative, thank goodness! He had his 6 and 8 week shots, but you never know! Our vet was being cautious. He also came up negative for other parasites. Turns out he had a bout of gastritis. He got a shot for the vomiting and a round of clavamox. Maverick is now doing fine. He is back to being our little landshark, chasing the kitty's tail, and running around with his pug brother and sister. He goes back to the vet Friday for his 10 week shots and a check-up. His weight is up to 10lbs and 10 ozs. [IMG][linked image][/IMG]
We are so thankful our baby is feeling better!

poor baby glad he is doing better, FYI

his parvo could have been positive, since his vaccines were given so close and it would not mean he had parvo, just his body was buliding immunities against it from teh vaccine
