Is anyone familiar with Loving Pets gourmet dried chicken strip treats? I emailed the company and inquired about sodium in product and they replied that they do not add any sodium or preservatives, the treats are all natural and any sodium would be what comes natural with meat, they did not give me any sodium count as i requested. I emailed again and have not heard back.
So what do you all think, is it safe to say " low sodium treat" for pregnant bitch? My girl loves them and i break them in small bite size for potty training treats for our 6 month male intact bully, we also give prego momma small one too each time as i am worried about a jealousy issue bringing new male into home when she is pregnant. Now i'm thinking she is retaining fluid... she is at day 41.
I feed her Natural Balance Duck and Potatoe twice a day. once with a spoolful of canned duck and potatoe ontop of kibble and 3 tablespoons plain yogurt on kibble each evening. Daily she also gets folic acid, prenatal vitamin and just started 1 cranberry tablet yesturday. And about 10 bite size pieces of loving pets gourmet dried chicken everyday (which amount to about 1 whole strip) and occaisional fresh fruit (if I am eating I will give her a few pieces)
We have reverse osmosis drinking system so water is good too. Besides genetics what would you pinpoint fluid retention to? Treats? canned food?
