Lip is bleeding
Submitted by admin on April 20, 2010 - 7:41pmYesterday morning we noticed Sweet Pea lower lip was bleeding. It almost looks like when you or I have chapped lips and they split. I noticed the same thing this morning. I'm wondering what we can do to help it heal if anything or to prevent it. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Sounds like a 'chapped lip'...same as what we get.
I understand that it will be difficult for you to keep any balm on the lip...the dog will want to lick it off...but if you have Bag Balm for the nose or paw pads, this is okay to use on the lip.
Again I don't think it would be easy to get some liquid bandage on that lip...altho it dries relatively quickly you would still need some cooperation from the dog...maybe if he's sleeping??? And I don't know if it would hold either...but these are my only suggestions.
