Limping Bulldog

Haven't posted in a while, and am getting used to the new forum...

We have a 1 year old, who has had a bit of a limp that would come out in the mornings some time.  We thought it could be from jumping off the bed which is too high.  The vet checked it out, and didn't feel anything.  He doesn't whine or seem lethargic... just limps.  Over the past two days it has gotten worse.  He still wants to jump and play and he doesn't get upset when we move it around.  He is wearing a buddy belt, as a flat collar made him gag.  Any thoughts as to what to do, what it could be??

Which leg is it?

You need to rest him for a few days, no jumping, running, etc.  When our guys have had a limp, I would crate them and take them outside on a leash so they didn't run around.   And definitely prevent the jumping off the bed, it's really easy for bulldogs to injure themselves.  See how he is after a few days of rest.

pretty sure its his right

pretty sure its his right front leg.  we're resting it to see how he does...

sounds like his shoulder....

he may have pulled a muscle....or a tendon...try giving him a couple of asprins...and hot packing it.....then ice pack to bring any swelling down....

muscles and tendons are painful as they tighten up after resting then slowly loosen up....

Growing pains?

Yesterday folks were talking about the age that pups show growing pains, though it might not be that at all, as I'm not a vet.  My Buddy limped some for a couple weeks, and the vet said nothing felt wrong, then we noticed he sleeps with his front arm and paw under him sometimes, and limps after that.  If this dad burned pic loads it's Buddy in July of 2009.
