Lethargic / Mucusy

I could use some insight.

I just got back from vacation, and while I was away my parents watched our 6 month female Bulldog Bella at our house (so they stayed at our so she was in her domain)

My parents were said she wasn't eating much in the morning, but was eating the normal amount at night.

Since I've been back I'm seeing the same thing. very little in the morning (she will eat treats if you give her those) and her normal at night.

She has seemed a bit lethargic, and does sound like she has mucus but no more then usual. For the past 1-2 months she has sound like she had a little in her throat, but it comes and goes and I took her and and asked my vet about this before. She said it's normal for bulldogs and not to worry that everything sounded and looked healthy. She also will vomit once ever few weeks.

Does this sound familiar to anybody, or throw up any read flags.

I hate to take her to the vet again, since I'm constantly there I feel, but I also want her to be healthy.

If anybody has things I should look for, or thoughts I would appreciate them. She is happy to go on walks if you prompt her etc. but if you're not actively trying to play with her she will just sit in her bed, and is very hesitant to get up.

Re: bite, sting

Thanks

I think she's normal now. Possibly she just was missing us from our vacation.

She's eating great in the morning and night. She is fairly lazy but I guess that's normal (Never had a puppy only a 2 year old before). Unless I'm playing with her, or taking her for walks she prefers to lounge around in her bed, chewing on a bone or something. She doesn't really run around and play with toys etc. Is that normal for a bully 6 months, or should she be way more active? She hasn't been super active unless you played with her since she was like 2-3 months.

Re: does she.....

Thanks for the questions:

I would say the following:

a) have a temp.....if its over 102 she has a fever....off to the vet....
No
b) any green mucus coming from the nose this is an emergency go to vet....
No, never seen any, she just sorta sounds congested at times. Vet said it's probably allergies. I'm wondering if I can't put like a lemon juice or something in her water to help control it. Anybody done something similiar?
c) is it cooler in the evening and she prefers to eat when cooler??
She is eating normally now. It might just be because she missed us while we are on vacation possibly I guess, and I overreacted.
d) are her gums nice and pink...if you press on them do they refill in 3 seconds or less if not off to the vet....
They appear to be normal.
these are just some thins to look at....your with her and have a better idea hope she is ok....

Thanks for the thoughts, she is acting fairly normal. Eating great, and active in spurts. I've never had a puppy so I don't know how a bully should act at 6 months. Are they normally fairly lazy most the time (I know the one I had when I got him at 2 was very lazy) unless you played with him or took him on walks etc. On his own though he normally liked to lay around. That is what she's doing now.

bite, sting

My dog was acting just like you described for several days. I made a vet appointment, and the next morning, the whole side of his face was swollen. The vet said possible sting, bite, or something he chewed stuck through his jaw. I had given him his first "bullie bone" the day before he started acting lethargic. We never saw anything in his jaw, but that has scared me away from them. Antibiotics and prednisone, and a couple of days, he was normal. Hope this helps.
