Leg Question
Submitted by Amy Matt Jasmin... on April 24, 2010 - 1:32amPork was walking down the hall and his back leg was stiff, he would not bend it. This is not the leg he had patella surgery on. I was wondering if any one knew what this could be? He does not act as if he is in any pain and it only last for a short time. Could it be his patella?

it sounds like a classic problem of a patella... could be a muscle sprain also...i would wait and watch for a week neither is life threathing....some asprin might help...but i believe pain meds some times make them to comfortable....i would just rest it....
I don't hear anything
I am trying to keep him calm, I really want to avoid another surgery. Does this show up this late? He just turned 2.
age has nothing to do with it.....
it can happen at any age.....i am not big on surgery and wilson has one bad knee...the vet said if he was a 100lb dog....that was active that would be a different story. ...he doesn't get wild except for his zoomies...and they last for what 10 min....or after he poops.... he shows no signs of pain...does what he wants when he wants....
if i were you i would take the wait and see approach....vit c is a natural pain reliever...any excess is flushed thru the kidneys...put him on 1000mg of vit c for a month and see how it goes...

this is wilson and if this helps he weighs 55 lbs....and does really good on his knee....
