dear all,
i miss everyone.. long time no post... hope everyone is doing well.
my sweet kibby loves her tennis balls, maybe too much lately. she used to just hold them, and play keep away... but now she managed to chew through them until she can break it up in small pieces, which usually she will chew for a while and then spit it out... usually, she will not be interested in chewing on anything rubbery, like kongs or jolly balls... but she has been chewing on tennis balls because of the fuzzy cover (she is a stuffed animal w/squeaker addict.. btw, i found just the squeakers available on amazon - 100 for $20, so now i am like a doctor - repairing her destroyed toys).
anyways, the missing piece was a little bigger then a quarter in circumference... big enough to make me worry...
she swallowed this maybe 20 mins after she ate dinner (half cup dry with tablespoon wet). so i gave her 3/4 piece of white bread with a little peanut butter on it, then she also had a clementine (baby orange- she didn't swallow this whole, the dogs like fruit before they go to bed!)... i feel like if i give her anything else, maybe she would get too full or backed up?
i will be on poo watch 2010 ... starting in the morning...
do you think that this piece is small enough to pass? or should we go for an xray asap? i worry because it was roundish as well.. so worse case scenario, is that it would try to pass standing up straight, therefore blocking her intestines or what not... am i being paranoid?
thanks for any help!
p.s. here is a picture that i used for my sisters baby shower invite... all the invitations at the stores seemed lame!
p.p.s. totally off topic, but kibby seems to be getting more brown fur spots (mostly hind quarters).. she is about to turn 6, does this just come with age for white bullys? like liverspots?
sincerely, christine
