Irritated blister (?) in nose rope....

Deuce has what looks like irritated blister/bump things under his nose rope. They are red, raised, and bleed a little when I wipe them. There is no puss or anything, it looks more blister like. Although they don't look like they could be popped, it is more a solid bump. I have tried baby wipes, malaseb pledgelets, tonight I am trying hydrogen peroxide and neosporin. Any ideas as to what this could be?? And any ideas as to how I could get them to go away??

Thanks!

In general, anything resembling a blister I treat with

initial cleansing (I prefer antibacterial soap/water but you may want to use peroxide or even ear cleaner on cotton ball) and then when dry, I dust lightly with Gold Bond medicated powder, or even light dusting with baking soda variety of baby powder. I know that putting something like Neosporin on will form a moisture-barrier and that won't help a blister dry out...same with using any diaper ointment on a sore within the nose rope fold, so allowing it to 'breathe' with a light powder is my best suggestion...and I'd clean it every day or EOD for several days before expecting it to clear up.

Punkie Brewster has the same thing from time to time...

as a matter-of-fact, we are dealing with it now! The peroxide and neosporin is exactly what I use. Make sure the area is dry before applying the neosporin. When I treat under Punkie B's noserope, it usually looks much better within a couple of days. After 3-4 days it is completly cleared up. I don't really know what it is but when she gets "it", it responds well to the peroxide and neosporin.

It resembles Phyllis's picture...

but it doesn't look quite that large and it is just red, there are no other colors in it. Phyllis, it looks like we may have a similar problem!! Let me know if you find something that works.
