I am posting this for a friend of mine. I am wondering if any of you guys have any other opinions.

Friday morning he ate normal & went outside etc. but then late morning he didnt want to move & would yelp if I tried to pick him up. Then I fed the boys lunch & Newman didnt even move! I knew something was wrong but thought maybe he had a bellyache or something so I made him rice & fed it to him. Around 5:00 he just looked like he took a turn for the worse so I called our vet & they told me to bring him in immediately. So we brought him in on a big comforter because he was in a lot of pain & didnt want to be touched. They think he slipped a disk although the x-ray wasnt able to exactly pinpoint it. The thing is he played Wednesday & Thursday pretty hard & then Friday morning he was fine but he probably did something one of those days. Hes on a few meds but theyre really not helping him so were going to start with a muscle relaxant. He actually did a lot better on Saturday & Sunday & we thought wed have a hard time keeping him off of the furniture etc. but then yesterday he was bad again. Once he finally stands up its like he has all he can do to lay back down & vice versa. I feel so bad for him but luckily our vet is always available & has been great with helping us figure out what to do to make him comfortable.

Any ideas for her? Could it be something else besides a slipped disc??
