Hogan my Bully boy has a couple of hot spots. We bought the anti itch spray and I bouth the gold bond and they seem to be getting a little better but not much. Is there a certain amount of time I should wait until I take him to the vet? He just developed them on Sunday. My other concern with this is he seems different almost like hes depressed or sad not his same bubbly self. Could the hot spots have anything to do with this? He is eating and drinking just not super playful like he usually is.
Thanks in advance
Re: Hot spot question
Hot spots can just appear for no reason. And they can be difficult to clear if you dont get on it right away. Depending on how bad they are they can be painful which may be one reason why he is not feeling great. I have used Gentomycin spray, from my vets and it usually clears them in a few days. You might also try bathing him to soothe those areas.

I jsut took Mack yesterday to the vets office
for hot spot. They shaved the area completely, and flushed it with a sterile solution and then put him on 7 days of anitibotic, along with gentocin topical spray which has a steroid in it. Loos so much better today, if the others would quit licking it!!!!!
