My 4 year old bulldog, Wally, seems to have developed folliculitis, and there are some pretty raw patches right above his tail.....I had a bulldog previously who developed mange, the vet told us that putting Desitin (the diaper rash cream) on the raw skin parts would make the area more comfortable. I realize the treatments for folliculitis and mange are obviously different - but would putting Desitin on his raw spots be OK? I just don't want to put it on if it will further irritate.......
Any thoughts? Until the folliculitis is cured, he seems pretty uncomfortable with that area right above his tail and I am trying to find something to at least make him feel better
OxyDex
Can be purchased at a pet store or some vets carry it.
Thanks you guys........
So you can buy this Pyoben with OxyDex at PetStores?
Agree Kathy....
And the shampoo's clean the follical allowing it to do that.
We use Pyoben shampoo...
for Oreo. Sometimes they can need an antibiotic if it gets too bad. But we don't put anything topical on it, I think the skin needs to breathe.
Shampoo.....
With OxyDex can be purchased at pet store or vets.
