Help! Diabetic Dog Food? Any suggestions? Medium Protein&Fiber / Low Carb&Fat
Submitted by PunkiesMom on April 21, 2010 - 12:02amI have given Cricket her first two insulin injections with no problem. I'm on the fast track to learn how to best care for her. She still hasn't gotten her appetite back but will eat small amounts of chicken, hamburger meat and some egg and a small amount of brown rice. I got some pumpkin, kidney beans and green beans for fiber. I need to start thinking about a dog food that will be good for her...any suggestions?

There are so many dog foods out there...geez! Thanks so much for the suggestion...I know that Taste of the Wild is very good food...I will go look at the website and check out the ingredients and nutritional values.

I have used the food Taste of the Wild, for my bullies when they had an reaction to Purina one- Do not know if this will help or anything but I hope Cricket will do great and best wishes too! Will look up more sites etc and hopefully find more resources etc - Poor baby has to get shots, lots of love to her!http://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/ here is the site of the food, maybe the list of ingredients will help etc..
