head tremors

Rocco started having head tremors a couple of weeks ago and I seem to snap him out if them with food etc. I wonder if the raw diet is causing them... He has been on raw food for six months or even longer... The vet cannot find a reason for his tremors. Has anyone else experienced head tremors with dogs that are on raw food?
Please help, it is scaring me, and I don't want Rocco to have them....

Head Tremors

I had a boy who was only a year old that used to get them. They have a good article right here on BDW about them and you can also google "Head Tremors in Bulldogs videos" and you will come up with a lot of information. They won't affect the quality of life and although not dangerous to the dog are scary to watch. Alot of people say give ice cream and it will snap them out of it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good Luck

just the oppsoite really...

i would add a small amount of honey to the meals...pure honey not the stuff in a jar with all the additives...
are you feeding a pre made diet or one your doing your self....
if one your doing by your self....did you add anything new...?
have you given heart worm meds? have you applied flea protection? recent vaccines? all these could be a reason for head tremors....

there is no concrete info....

on what causes them. I have a bully that displays this once in awhile and food is what we use to stop it. My wife has even given our girl a massage around the neck and stopped it. We have had labs pulled while she had the tremors and nothing. We have given everything suggested here on the site and it stops yet there is nothing in common but being food. That's our experience.
