Harness or collar

Boog is having his palate surgery tomorrow. I forgot to ask the vet if he has to wear a harness after the surgery or if his collar is ok. If he needs a harness I thought I'd take him to the pet store tonite, so I'd have it ready when I pick him up from the vet. What do you think? I'd rather save the money if its not necessary ......... but at this point, what's another $30.00!!!!

Re: I vote for a harness

Thanks Deborah, I went and got him a harness tonight at Petcetera, they had them on sale 1/2 price! Tomorrow's the big day, I drop him off at 7:30 am.

I vote for a harness

especially in the summer. My opinion only.
A lot of us in Toronto have the "buddy belt" harness for our dogs. You can get it cheaper at Woofstock as it is rather expensive, but so worth it. A Toronto girl who lives in the Beach invented it for brachycephalic breeds.

Harness Fit Question

Question about harnesses, I have purchased two different ones and they always seem to slide sideways, so the ring (and thus the leash) do not stay on top of the dog and instead slide so it's on the side.

Is this just a matter of the harness not fitting correctly? I didn't seem to have the problem when mine was 2-3 months, but now that I have purchased bigger harnesses (she is 7 months) I seen to always have that issue.
