We are contacting one that is in Dallas Tx.. If we have to make the trip that is not a problem. We have also tried to find a meeting group and the closest is in Dallas or Houston. Again not a problem. If anyone knows of a vet or a group closer it would be nice to hear. If it is a pallet problem can you give me an idea of what it cost so I know what is reasonable and what is not. Can you also tell me how long he would be kept at the vet before the trip home? Is there a follow up visit? Any input would be helpful. Thank you for any help in advance.

We live in Dallas and had Henry's palate done...
in Austin, at the specialty clinic there, only because a friend highly recommended the surgeon. We paid $600 two years ago. Be careful who you see, as a lot of vets are jumping on the bandwagon because of the surge in bulldog popularity and the frequency of this treatment. Ask how many the vet has done, because as with everything, experience is really important with this surgery.

Personal experience
was having a palate trim done on a 2yr old bulldog and the cost, about 5-6 yrs ago was $500 that included everything: surgery/anesthesia/over-nite stay/take home meds/one follow-up visit. I think you will get a whole range of costs but I would expect that somewhere near what I paid would be an average cost even today.
