i only use this for fleas and mosquitoes....for heartworm i give blackwalnut once a week...
you can find all the ingredients either in a holistic store or on line
2 drops rosemary/lavender oil
3 drops citronella oil
20 drops of rose geranium (plumarosa) oil
1/2 ounce or one tablespoon of alchol based tincture of bay
1/2 ounce or 1 tablespoon alchol based green black walnut hull tincture
8 ounces distilled water....
you can also add garlic tabs to their food it takes about 30 to 60 days to get into the system to rid the dog of fleas...

I was looking for Preventative but did not know about the Dawn either so thanks for the tip.

I thought that I had read some time ago on here about somthing that you could get that was used on cows but you could lower the amount an use on dogs, have any idea what that was?
