We have used this for years for our horses for fly repellant in the summer months. It is an all natural concentrate one mixes with water and sprays on. It will last through one sweaty trail ride, but must be reapplied daily for true effectiveness. It does not kill flies, fleas or ticks. Try ordering at www.horse.comwww.kvequine.comwww.jeffersequine.comwww.valleyvet.com or www.horsehealthusa.com

mentioned the Vectra the last time we were there. He said he was told that it would also help repel/kill mosquitoes in addition to the fleas and ticks which would be a big plus in this area. We still have some Frontline left so I'll use that up before I change. As far as I know, at least for now, you can only get it from a vet. They had a 'rebate' of $10 or $15 that would be applied to your next visit to the vet. Haven't seen any reviews from people who have actually used it on there pets yet.

My bully's been on Frontline Plus; however, my vet says Vectra is more effective, within 2 hrs. fleas/ticks are killed and he's tested it on several of his dogs that live in wooded areas that are tick/flea prone. So we are switching.

Do you have a link for the FLICKS?
I'd love to look into that... no more chemicals for us. Bruno had a horrible reaction to Frontline last year....
