I took ellie mae and max to the vet for their second visit since they have been mine. They are 10 weeks old and they were due for puppy shots (her 3rd set and his 2nd). Two and a half weeks ago she weighed 8 lbs and he weighed 2lbs (he was diagnosed with hydrocephalus) Today she was 12.1 and he was 6.1. He has tripled his weight in two weeks. The doc said she would not have even recognized him as the same puppy. Now she is saying there is a chance that he may not have hydro. That is what im praying for. He is so lively and happy its hard to think he has that. He finally has grown in to his head. LOL
Anyway...has anyone ever heard of a misdiagnosis of hydro? Maybe he was just so runted out or something?
That is great news!!
So glad to hear he is gaining weight and growing into that head! I sure hope it was a misdiagnosis. Keep us posted.

I have puppies 10 weeks old too
and have a little runt. He's less than half the weight of his siblings. Looked like Stuart Little til about 2 weeks ago...now is looking more like a bulldog. I just adore the little guy and have had lots of offers from people wanting to buy him. I sure hope yours was misdiagnosed.

So happy to hear that both are doing well...but especially...
soooooo happy to hear that Max is gaining weight and doing so well. I hope it was a misdiagnosis. That would be great. The power of prayer is miraculous. I will keep him in my prayers.
